When ordinary cleaning is not the right method
Specialist cleaning is not one standard package. It covers jobs where the material, height, dust, moisture or equipment means the work must be assessed before the price and method are agreed. Komfortliv provides specialist cleaning in Oslo and nearby areas within about 20 kilometres for homes, offices, shops and smaller shared areas.
An enquiry should include photos, the general location, size, surface type and a brief description of the problem. We assess whether Komfortliv can complete the job, whether specialist equipment is required or whether another professional contractor should be contacted. This reduces the risk of damage and makes the quote more accurate.
Services that may be included
- Window cleaning: glass, frames and surrounds where safe, practical access is available.
- Post-construction cleaning: systematic removal of construction dust after painting, filling or minor renovation.
- Upholstery and carpet cleaning: assessment and cleaning of textiles according to the material, stain and expected drying time.
- Floor treatment: scrubbing, polish or another treatment suitable for the identified floor type.
- Exterior and patio cleaning: cleaning with a method and pressure suited to timber, paint, stone or other surfaces.
- Gutter cleaning: removing leaves and dirt after the height, weather and working platform have been assessed for safety.
Several tasks can be combined in one quote, but each is priced and scoped separately. Patio cleaning, for example, does not automatically include oiling, repairing rot or replacing boards. Post-construction cleaning does not include handling hazardous materials.
Material, dirt and access determine the method
The same cleaning product may work well on one surface and damage another. We therefore need information about natural stone, untreated wood, lacquer, textile type, floor coverings, solar film, specialist glass and newly painted surfaces. Where uncertain, we may first test a small, inconspicuous area.
Access is equally important. Work at height, on steep sections, near traffic or electrical installations, or on slippery surfaces requires a risk assessment. An ordinary ladder is not an automatic solution for every job. Where needed, the customer must approve a lift, scaffolding, extra staff or barriers before the booking is confirmed.
What is excluded from ordinary specialist cleaning?
Komfortliv does not treat asbestos, unknown chemicals, biohazardous material, oil spills, pests or other regulated contamination as an ordinary cleaning service. We also cannot promise complete removal of permanent stains, discolouration, wear, mould damage or odours embedded in the structure.
If there are signs of leaks, concealed moisture, rot, a damaged membrane or structural damage, the cause must be assessed before the surface is cleaned or treated. Cleaning can improve a surface but cannot replace repair.
Pricing and booking
The usual minimum order value is NOK 3,000 including VAT. Work suitable for hourly pricing generally starts from NOK 875 per hour. A fixed price is available when photos, measurements or a site visit establish a reliable scope. Travel, parking, tolls, cleaning products, materials, waste fees, lifts, scaffolding and external trade partners are additional where relevant.
Before work begins, the customer receives a written description of what is included, the assumptions behind the quote and what may trigger additional charges. Payment is by invoice or Vipps. Visible issues should be reported within 24 hours so the work can be assessed while the conditions can still be documented.
Frequently asked questions
Can you provide a fixed price without a site visit?
Yes. For clear, smaller jobs, good photos, measurements and material information may be enough. We recommend a site visit for work at height, large areas or uncertain surfaces.
Do you bring products and equipment?
Komfortliv can select and purchase agreed equipment and cleaning products. The customer pays documented purchases and the agreed purchasing and transport time unless included in the quote.
Can several specialist services be booked together?
Yes. We prepare one coordinated work plan while clearly showing the scope, price and any external costs for each service.
Do you work around the clock?
Jobs can be scheduled in the evening, at night or at weekends by arrangement and subject to capacity. Our office handles new enquiries Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00, normally within two hours during those times.
