Planned assembly means fewer surprises
Flat-pack furniture can contain similar-looking components, concealed fixings and a strict assembly sequence. Komfortliv assembles furniture in Oslo homes, offices, shops and rental properties, from one larger item to a planned group of products.
Typical items include beds, chests, tables, chairs, bookcases, wardrobes, sideboards and office furniture. Products must be designed for on-site assembly and available instructions must be followed. Antiques, custom construction and undocumented products require separate assessment.
Information required before booking
Check the delivery before our visit. All packages must be at the address and the room must provide enough clear floor space. If a component is damaged or missing, we document it and help identify what to order, but cannot manufacture an original replacement.
- Product name, manufacturer and a link to the product page.
- Number of products and packages.
- Photos of labels, packaging and the intended room.
- Floor, lift, parking and carrying route.
- Whether wall anchoring is required and the known wall type.
- Any old furniture to dismantle, move or assess for removal.
Assembly, placement and function checks
We sort the components, follow the instructions and check drawers, doors and moving parts. Tall or unstable furniture is secured where required by the manufacturer and where the wall and fixing points can be assessed.
Correctly assembled furniture may not sit perfectly level on an uneven floor. We use built-in adjustment and explain where shims or further adaptation may be needed. Structural changes to the product require explicit approval because they may affect strength and warranty.
Wardrobes and larger systems
Large wardrobes require more working space and often two people. Sliding doors, internal fittings, lighting and anchoring must be described in advance. Adaptation to a sloping ceiling, recess or uneven wall is separate custom work. Fixed electrical alterations are handled only by a registered electrical contractor.
Pricing and extras
Furniture assembly starts from NOK 990 per hour including VAT, with a usual minimum order of NOK 3,000. A fixed quote is possible when products, package count, carrying and anchoring are known. Carrying, dismantling, packaging handling, travel, parking, tolls and new fixings are additional.
Packaging removal is not automatic. Cardboard and plastic can be organised on site; transport to a disposal facility is a separate approved service.
Frequently asked questions
Do you assemble furniture from every manufacturer?
We assess standard flat-pack products when instructions and components are available. Specialist products are reviewed from documentation and photos.
Can you collect furniture from a shop?
Collection may be booked as a separate transport job after confirming dimensions, weight, retailer rules and vehicle capacity.
Do you anchor wardrobes to the wall?
Yes, where required and after assessing the wall, load and fixing points. Fixings and additional work are quoted separately.
What if a part is missing?
We document and identify it where possible. Assembly continues only if the product can remain safe without the missing part.
Request an accurate estimate: Send clear photos, access details and the preferred date. We usually reply within two hours during office hours, Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00.
