A successful decorating project is often more about sequence than floor area. One room may need cleaning, filling, priming and painting, while another only needs limited repairs before a move or viewing. Komfortliv plans painting and minor property improvements for homes, offices, shops and rental properties throughout Oslo and nearby areas within about 20 kilometres.
Komfortliv began with professional cleaning in 2019 and expanded into surfaces, assembly and practical preparation in response to customer needs. That background helps us assess the entire room: repairs, protection, cleaning, drying time and any work that belongs with another qualified provider.
Work that can be included
This is not an automatic promise of complete renovation, extensive demolition, structural work or concealed technical changes. Moisture, mould, loose substrates, major cracks and recurring staining must be investigated before being covered with paint or wallpaper.
- Cleaning and degreasing suitable surfaces before treatment.
- Filling small holes, marks and limited uneven areas.
- Sanding, dust removal and priming for the substrate.
- Painting walls, ceilings, trim and agreed details.
- Wallpapering after confirming the substrate and product type.
- Small carpentry or mounting tasks needed before decorating.
- Final cleaning after products have dried sufficiently.
How the project is planned
For an initial estimate, send photos, room measurements, wall and ceiling quantities, the existing surface, desired colour or material and deadline. Tell us whether the room is furnished, what needs protection and whether work must be phased. Several rooms or uncertain substrates may require a site visit.
The sequence is confirmed before starting: protect or move contents, clean and repair, allow filler and primer to dry, sand, paint the required coats, then remove protection and complete agreed clean-up. Coat count depends on the colour change, product and substrate.
Pricing, materials and changes
Painting and minor improvement work starts from NOK 990 per hour including VAT, with a usual minimum order of NOK 3,000. Clearly defined rooms may receive a fixed quote after photos or a visit. Paint, filler, tape, protective materials, tool wear, travel, parking and tolls are additional where relevant.
Komfortliv can organise approved products and purchases. The customer confirms quality, colour code and budget first. Hidden conditions and added work are priced and approved before they are carried out.
A realistic level of finish
The existing substrate affects the result. Spot filling will not necessarily make an older, uneven wall completely flat. A higher finish may require full skim coating, repeated drying and sanding or specialist competence. The expected finish is described in the quote so that scope, price and result remain aligned.

Can painting be combined with cleaning?
Yes. Pre-cleaning and final cleaning can be included, scheduled around drying time and sensitive newly painted surfaces.
Can you provide a fixed quote from photos?
Often for smaller, clearly defined work. Multiple rooms, damage or an unknown substrate may require a visit.
Who buys paint and materials?
You may buy them, or Komfortliv can organise approved products within a written budget.
Do you undertake complete renovation?
Not as a standard service. Major building and technical work needs separate assessment and may require qualified partners.
