When the existing floor needs to come up first
Old-floor removal is now a separate Komfortliv service and can be ordered with new flooring or as a stand-alone job. The aim is to expose the subfloor so the next phase can be assessed against the actual visible condition.
Before work starts we clarify floor type, build-up, adhesive or mechanical fixing, room area, access and how the removed material will be handled. Standard removal is not hazardous-material remediation: suspected asbestos, hazardous materials, moisture or structural damage requires separate assessment.

Frequently asked questions
How much does old-floor removal cost?
The booking labour rate is NOK 220/m² incl. VAT. When ordered on its own, a minimum order of NOK 3,000 applies.
Is waste disposal included?
Not automatically. Transport, receiving/disposal charges and other documented outlays are agreed separately.
Can you install the new floor afterwards?
Yes. Laminate, click-parquet, vinyl and herringbone are separate booking services. The subfloor is assessed after the old floor has been exposed.
What happens if damage is found underneath?
Visible moisture, rot, major cracks or structural defects are documented and must be resolved before further work. They are not automatically included in the standard removal price.
