Practical help after buying a smart-home product
Smart products can simplify heating, lighting, access and indoor monitoring, but mounting and initial setup often take longer than expected. Komfortliv installs products designed for ordinary user installation in Oslo homes, rental units, offices and small shops.
We help with placement, wall mounting, assembly and basic startup. Customers retain control of accounts, passwords, payment details and property access. Products requiring fixed wiring, a new circuit, socket alteration or other regulated electrical work need a registered electrical contractor.

The list is indicative. We review the manufacturer's requirements, wall type, height, coverage, power and privacy before confirming. Compatibility across brands, advanced networks, alarm receiving centres and security-system configuration are not assumed.

Prepare before the visit
Send product names, models, instructions and photos of each intended location. Confirm whether products are battery-powered, plug-in or fixed. Have Wi-Fi details, the relevant app store and user accounts available, but enter passwords and two-factor codes yourself.
Cameras, doorbells and sensors must respect neighbours, shared areas and privacy rules. The customer remains responsible for lawful use and required consent; Komfortliv provides practical placement, not legal surveillance advice.
Price and possible extras
Smart-home installation starts from NOK 990 per hour including VAT, with a usual minimum order of NOK 3,000. A fixed quote may be offered for a clear device list, locations and technical requirements. Fixings, surface cable management, batteries, brackets and replacement parts are additional.
Travel, parking and tolls are charged separately. If regulated electrical work is identified, we stop that part and coordinate a registered contractor only after customer approval.

Komfortliv does not work inside distribution boards, add circuits, install concealed wiring, hard-wire equipment or alter the fixed electrical installation. Such work must be performed and documented by a registered electrical contractor.

Can you install products I already bought?
Yes. Send the model and instructions first so we can confirm it is suitable for user installation.
Can you connect the product to its app?
We can assist with basic pairing and startup while you enter passwords and keep control of the account.
Do you install hard-wired thermostats?
No. Fixed electrical connections require a registered electrical contractor, which can be coordinated separately.
What if the product is incompatible with my system?
We test the agreed basic function, but compatibility and cloud services remain controlled by the manufacturer.
