Fix small faults before they get worse

A catching door, loose handle or detached trim may seem minor but can create daily frustration and further wear. Komfortliv handles clearly defined minor repairs in Oslo homes, offices and shops where the cause can be assessed without major alterations.

We do not promise to repair everything. Photos, materials, age, access and the likely cause are reviewed first so we can bring suitable tools and identify jobs that actually require manufacturer service or regulated expertise.

Examples of suitable minor repairs

Hidden damage, rot, extensive moisture, load-bearing construction and major building work are outside an ordinary minor-repair visit. Internal electrical or refrigeration faults in appliances normally belong with the manufacturer or a qualified repairer.

  • Adjusting internal doors, hinges and simple lock fittings.
  • Tightening or replacing handles, knobs and visible hardware.
  • Refixing loose trim and small timber components.
  • Preparing small holes, marks or flaking areas before painting.
  • Adjusting cabinet fronts, drawers and furniture parts.
  • Installing small accessories compatible with the existing solution.

What we need before pricing

Send an overview and close-up photos, measurements, material and a short history of the fault. For a door, show the frame, hinges, threshold and contact point. For cabinets or drawers, show the front and internal fittings. Tell us about any spare parts, paint or replacement hardware already available.

A visually similar part may still have the wrong dimensions or fixing method. If a part must be ordered, the project may be split into an assessment and a later installation visit.

Completion and realistic results

At the start, we confirm the task and what counts as a completed result. Where possible, function is tested with the customer. Older finishes may retain visible differences in colour or texture after a cosmetic repair.

If dismantling reveals a larger problem, we stop and document it. The customer decides whether to expand, postpone or refer the work; additional work is never assumed.

Price and materials

Minor repairs start from NOK 990 per hour including VAT, with a usual minimum order of NOK 3,000. Combining several small jobs at one address can make better use of the minimum. Materials, replacement parts, travel, tolls and parking are additional.

Frequently asked questions

Can you assess the job from photos?

Often we can provide an initial estimate, although hidden damage or unknown materials may require the final method to be agreed on site.

Can several faults be repaired in one visit?

Yes. Send a prioritised list so we can confirm tools, parts and a realistic order of work.

Do you repair appliances internally?

No. Electrical, refrigeration and specialist appliance faults should go to the manufacturer or a qualified repairer.

Can an old part be made like new?

We agree a realistic result based on wear, material and replacement-part availability; cosmetic differences may remain.

Request an accurate estimate: Send clear photos, access details and the preferred date. We usually reply within two hours during office hours, Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00.
