When your home needs more than routine cleaning
Deep cleaning is a thorough clean of the home with more attention to detail than ordinary house cleaning. It is useful at a change of season, before a new recurring cleaning agreement, after a busy period or when dust and dirt have built up in rarely cleaned areas. The work is agreed according to the property's actual condition and is not remediation or cleaning after extensive construction work.
What can be included?
- vacuuming and cleaning floors, rugs and accessible areas
- thorough dusting of accessible surfaces
- cleaning skirting boards, frames, banisters, switches and door handles
- removing marks from doors and visible cabinet fronts
- cleaning the outside of cabinets and drawers
- cleaning bathrooms, toilets, showers, baths and bathroom furniture
- cleaning worktops, sinks, hobs and agreed kitchen surfaces
- dusting panel heaters and accessible radiators where their construction permits
The final task list is set out in the quote. Cleaning inside cabinets, drawers and appliances, window cleaning, textile cleaning, intensive limescale treatment, grout, walls, ceilings and moving heavy furniture are extras or separate services. We do not use strong chemicals on sensitive surfaces until the material and method have been confirmed.
Assessment before work begins
An accurate quote requires the floor area, number of rooms and bathrooms, when the home was last deep-cleaned, and whether grease, limescale, nicotine residue, pet hair or other conditions will increase the time needed. Photos of the kitchen, bathrooms, skirting boards and problem areas are often sufficient. For larger homes or an unclear scope, we may recommend a site visit.
We also agree where furniture will remain, which cabinets need to be emptied and whether the property will be occupied while we work. The customer is responsible for securing valuable and fragile items. If an area cannot be reached without unsafe climbing or specialist equipment, it will not be cleaned until a safe solution is agreed.
Pricing and time required
Booking PUBLIC_1_2 calculates deep cleaning from the property size with a NOK 5,900 minimum including VAT. In the current booking model, homes up to 99 m² therefore remain at that minimum before selected extras. Demanding conditions or unclear scope may trigger a price review. Parking, tolls, materials and specialist equipment may be additional.

Booking has separate extras for additional WCs/bathrooms, appliances, windows, heavy limescale and pets. These are added to the area-based base price.
Komfortliv can purchase cleaning products and consumables by agreement. The customer pays documented purchase costs and the agreed time spent buying and transporting them. Private customers receive an agreed final price including VAT, and payment is by Vipps or invoice.
After the cleaning
We recommend inspecting the home as soon as possible. Please report visible issues within 24 hours with photos and a description. Komfortliv will assess the matter and arrange any correction where it relates to the agreed task list. This process does not change rights under the law or written agreement.
Frequently asked questions
How long does deep cleaning take?
It depends on the size and condition. A detailed job may require several people or more than one working day. The expected timeframe is stated in the quote.
Is window cleaning included?
Not automatically. Windows are priced separately because the number of panes, glazing bars, double frames, height and access affect time and safety.
Do cabinets and drawers need to be emptied?
Only if interior cleaning has been booked. The customer must empty them before work begins unless organising and handling the contents have been agreed as an extra.
Can deep cleaning be combined with minor improvements?
Yes. We can assess organising, simple assembly or minor maintenance. Work requiring formal authorisation is carried out only through a qualified trade partner.
