Cleaning tailored to your home's current needs
House cleaning is a one-off service for homes that need professional everyday cleaning. It is useful before guests arrive, after a busy period, at a change of season or whenever it has become difficult to keep up with every room. It is less extensive than deep cleaning and more flexible than a recurring agreement.
Before confirming the job, we prioritise the rooms with you. Some customers want the most help in bathrooms and the kitchen, while others prefer us to focus on floors, dust and living areas. Clear priorities are important when the home is large or the available time is limited.
What house cleaning usually includes
- dusting accessible tables, shelves, window sills and other agreed surfaces
- vacuuming floors, rugs and agreed upholstered seating
- mopping with a method suited to the flooring
- cleaning sinks, mirrors, toilets, showers and baths
- cleaning worktops, sinks, hobs and visible marks on cabinet fronts
- light cleaning of door handles and switches where time allows
Ordinary house cleaning does not normally include moving heavy furniture, dismantling fittings or handling large quantities of belongings. Tidying, organising, cleaning inside cabinets, ovens, refrigerators and windows, or intensive stain and limescale treatment must be agreed separately.
When should you choose deep cleaning instead?
Choose deep cleaning when the home needs detailed work on skirting boards, frames, radiators, doors, switches, cabinet fronts and areas that have not been cleaned for a long time. If there is heavy grease, limescale, nicotine residue, construction dust or ingrained dirt, we need photos or a site visit to select the right service and allow enough time.
How to prepare your home
Please remove clothes, toys, papers and other small items from floors and work surfaces. Tell us about fragile objects, natural stone, untreated wood, specialist coatings or other surfaces requiring care. If you will not be home, we agree key access, alarms and locking arrangements in writing before the visit.
Komfortliv works throughout Oslo and in nearby areas within about 20 kilometres. Jobs can be scheduled outside normal office hours by arrangement. Our office handles enquiries Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00, and usually replies within two hours during those times.
Pricing and extras
Booking PUBLIC_1_2 calculates one-off house cleaning from the home’s floor area. The service has a NOK 3,000 minimum including VAT, so the first three area bands are raised to that minimum. Selected extras are added by Booking, and demanding conditions may require a price review. With a service deposit there is no separate Oslo mobilisation charge; without one, NOK 450 is payable before dispatch. Parking and tolls remain documented extras where relevant.

Common Booking extras include an additional separate WC at NOK 250, an extra bathroom/shower room at NOK 450, oven interior at NOK 450, refrigerator interior at NOK 350, a standard window at NOK 190 and pets/extra hair at NOK 150.
Materials and cleaning products are charged separately unless included in the quote. Komfortliv can purchase suitable products by agreement and documents the costs. Payment is by Vipps or invoice.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be at home?
No. We can work while the property is empty if secure access, alarms and locking arrangements have been agreed. You should remain reachable by phone in case we have questions.
Can you clean the oven and refrigerator?
Yes, but this must be booked as an extra. Tell us the size and condition, and empty the appliance before the visit if interior cleaning has been agreed.
What if you discover mould or pests?
We stop or limit the work if the condition may present a health or safety risk. Remediation and specialist assessment are not included in ordinary house cleaning.
Can I book the same service again?
Yes. If you need regular help, after the first job we can suggest a recurring task list and schedule.
