When dates and addresses do not line up
Temporary storage can bridge a delayed handover, renovation, sale or office reorganisation. Komfortliv does not operate its own storage units, but can help estimate the volume, pack and transport belongings to an external Oslo provider.
The customer normally contracts directly with the storage company and approves unit size, price, access, temperature, insurance and rental period. Komfortliv is responsible only for tasks listed in our quote.
What the moving project can include
A volume estimate is indicative; the storage provider's dimensions and terms are decisive. Check door width, lift, opening hours, access system, height limits and vehicle access.
- A rough space estimate from photos and an inventory.
- Packing, protection and clear labelling.
- Disassembly of suitable furniture before transport.
- Carrying and transport to the selected storage address.
- Placement that keeps priority items accessible.
- Collection and delivery to a new address as a later, separate booking.
Choose storage for the contents
Wood, textiles, electronics, documents and art may need stable, dry conditions. Ask the operator about ventilation, heating, access, CCTV, fire protection, insurance and claims. Check whether your home contents insurance remains valid away from home.
Food, plants, animals, medicines, cash, passports, jewellery, weapons, flammables, gas cylinders and unknown chemicals should not be stored unless expressly permitted.
Pack for storage, not only transport
Long-term stored items must be clean and dry. Avoid sealing residual moisture into furniture or textiles. Label every item, keep an inventory and photograph the unit before closing it. Heavy boxes go below lighter ones, while anything needed during the rental should remain near the entrance.
Transport and storage costs
Storage rent is set and invoiced by the external provider. Packing starts from NOK 750 per hour per person. Transport with two people and a vehicle starts from NOK 1,750 per hour and normally has a three-hour minimum. Packaging, tolls, parking and access fees are additional.
Later collection from storage is booked and priced as a separate transport job.
