Packing usually takes longer than expected. Belongings need sorting, fragile items need protection and boxes should be labelled for the correct room. Komfortliv helps households, offices and shops throughout Oslo and nearby areas within about 20 kilometres.
Book packing only or combine it with carrying, transport and furniture work. Before starting, we agree the volume, fragile items, who supplies materials and whether help is also needed at the new address.
What packing help can include
You decide what is kept, donated, discarded or stored. We do not make those decisions without clear instructions, and customers should personally handle valuable or sensitive documents.
- Packing clothes, books, kitchenware and ordinary belongings.
- Protecting glassware, crockery, decorations and fragile items.
- Labelling boxes by room, contents or priority.
- Keeping fittings and small furniture parts organised.
- Unpacking, agreed placement and basic organisation.
- Sorting empty packaging after unpacking.
Packaging and materials
Boxes, wrapping paper, tape, protective covers and other materials are additional to labour. You may purchase them or ask Komfortliv to buy an approved list within an agreed budget. Product costs and agreed purchasing and transport time are charged separately.
Use smaller boxes for books and heavy items and larger boxes for light textiles. Every box must remain safe to lift and stack.
What to prepare
Customers should pack and transport medicines, passports, keys, cash, jewellery, sensitive data and irreplaceable belongings. Chilled food, open liquids, flammables, gas cylinders and unknown chemicals are not packed as ordinary moving goods. Label rooms at the new address and decide which boxes must be opened first.
Price and time
Packing starts from NOK 750 per hour per person including VAT, with a usual minimum order of NOK 3,000. Volume, rooms, fragile items, sorting, stairs, parking and work at one or two addresses affect the estimate. Packaging, travel, tolls and parking are additional by agreement.
Photos, room count and an inventory normally provide an initial estimate; larger homes or many specialist items may require a site visit.
Frequently asked questions
Can you buy all the moving boxes?
Yes, once the quantity, type and budget are approved. Materials and purchasing time are charged separately.
Do you pack kitchens and glassware?
Yes, using suitable paper, dividers and strong boxes. Tell us about particularly valuable items first.
Can I book unpacking only?
Yes. We can open boxes, place items as instructed and collect packaging even if another company handled transport.
Can you help with sorting?
We can organise the process, but you decide what to keep, donate, store or discard.
