Extra hands without a full moving service
Carrying help is ideal when you already have a van, trailer or container but need people to move boxes and furniture. It can also cover an internal move, carrying after a delivery or clearing a room before renovation. We work for homes, offices and shops throughout Oslo and nearby areas within about 20 kilometres.
Before booking, tell us what must be carried, the distance to the vehicle, floors, lift access, narrow passages and other practical limits.
What carrying help can cover
A vehicle, transport, packing and disassembly are not automatically included. The customer or carrier is responsible for providing a suitable, legally parked vehicle that is ready when the team arrives.
- Carrying sealed boxes and ordinary furniture.
- Loading or unloading your van, trailer or container.
- Moving furniture between rooms, floors or premises.
- Additional labour alongside an equipment or furniture delivery.
- Placement in the agreed room.
Weight, dimensions and safety
Give approximate dimensions and weight for wardrobes, sofas, appliances, filing cabinets and gym equipment. Pianos, safes, stone slabs, industrial machinery and other unusually heavy objects require a separate heavy-lift assessment.
We may refuse or stop a lift if staffing, access or equipment is unsafe. Fixed equipment must be disconnected and prepared by the appropriate person before carrying begins.
Prepare the carrying route
Clear corridors, stairs and doorways. Keep children and pets away, reserve lifts or loading areas where required and identify surfaces needing protection. Furniture will not be dismantled and doors will not be removed without prior approval.
Price and staffing
Guide prices start at NOK 790 per hour per person including VAT, with a usual minimum order of NOK 3,000. Staffing, duration, floors, lift, carrying distance, parking, weight and equipment affect the price. Travel, tolls and parking are additional by agreement.
For a small job, combining carrying with simple disassembly or placement may make better use of the minimum charge. We confirm the recommended team and how time is calculated.
Frequently asked questions
Is a vehicle included?
No. Carrying help is labour only. A team with a vehicle is booked as moving help and uses a different price model.
Can one mover carry with me?
Possibly for light, straightforward tasks. Larger furniture or stairs often require two professionals for safety.
Do you carry appliances?
Yes, when they are empty, disconnected and their dimensions are provided. Fixed connections may require a qualified provider.
What if the job is larger than described?
We agree the additional time or staffing before continuing beyond the booked scope.
